Puerto Vallarta Style Ceviche

Bursting with fresh, zesty flavours, this ceviche is a beloved staple in Puerto Vallarta, a coastal gem known for its incredible seafood. Whether piled high on a crispy tostada or scooped up with crunchy totopos, this refreshing dish is a true taste of the Mexican coastline.

Ingredients

  • 500 g white fish
  • 250 ml lime juice
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 long green chillies
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/2 bunch coriander
  • 1 avocado
  • Valentina salsa
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. Wash all the veggies thoroughly.
  2. Cut the fish into small pieces.
  3. Place the fish in a bowl & marinate it with salt & pepper.
  4. Add the lime juice to the bowl & mix the fish so that it’s all coated with lime.
  5. Cover the bowl & place it in the fridge for 40 minutes.
  6. While the fish is marinating, dice the cucumbers, chillies & onion, & slice the coriander.
  7. Grate the carrots finely.
  8. After the fish is marinated, drain the lime juice into a separate bowl.
  9. Add all the veggies to the fish & mix well.
  10. Add the orange juice & adjust the acidity with the reserved lime juice, if needed.
  11. Taste & adjust with more salt & pepper if required.
  12. Optional: When serving your Ceviche Puerto Vallarta, you can add sliced avocado & a splash of Valentina.¡Buen provecho!
