Habanero Salsa

Our salsa habanero recipe is perfect for the Mexican food fanatics who enjoy a bit of a spice. Chock full of habanero chillies, this recipe is not for the faint hearted, & while you can try & tame the heat by removing the seeds, this salsa is made to ignite the senses.





  • 10 Habanero chillies
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 lime
  • Rock salt to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. Roast the habaneros & garlic until they’re well roasted.
  2. In a mortar & pestle (or molcajete), smash the garlic with rock salt, then add the roasted habaneros & continue smashing.
  3. Mix in the juice of the oranges & lime until well combined.
  4. Taste & adjust salt if necessary.
